  • Began his legal career in 1985 as a student intern with the Wisconsin Attorney General’s Office.

  • By 1987, was running a civil and criminal litigation practice with a strong emphasis on appeals.


  • Since 1996, has focused primarily on criminal defense, handling pretrial motions, post-conviction motions, and appeals across virtually every area of criminal law.


  • Plays a crucial role in crafting effective arguments for matters such as Motions to Suppress, Limiting Evidence, modifying jury instructions, and framing powerful sentencing arguments.

  • Excels at breaking down complex issues, articulating them clearly, and ensuring they are positioned strategically to maximize impact in court.
