Mac Blessen is a dedicated criminal defense attorney whose path to the courtroom began with a passion for advocacy and a commitment to telling his clients’ stories with clarity and conviction. At Nelson Defense Group, he brings both courtroom experience and a deep belief that every person deserves to be fully heard and vigorously defended.

 

Career Highlights


 

  • Former public defender in Baraboo, Wisconsin, managing a high-volume caseload that included civil commitments, juvenile delinquency, misdemeanors, and felonies.

  • Interned with Federal Defender Services of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin State Public Defender during law school.

  • Brings a background in nonprofit communications in Washington, D.C., where he honed his skills in storytelling and advocacy.

  • Practices independently while backed by the collective strength and expertise of the Nelson Defense team, ensuring clients receive both personalized attention and the benefit of a unified defense.
